What is a Common Sense Survey?
Our anonymous survey and its respective deliverables will give you, the business owner, a better understanding of how your employees view topics including compensation packages, HR issues, and employee retention. It is our firm policy not to name any individual employee for their comments (either positive or negative) which encourages honest and critical feedback about which pieces of your business are working and what may need improvement. Your employees will be given the opportunity to leave open-ended comments that can be highlighted when it’s time for us to compile survey data and write reports.
How does it work?
We will request an up-to-date employee census from you that contains employee names and employee emails. We will work with you to develop a survey that comprises a list of valuable questions pertaining to your business operations. This is not a cookie-cutter, generic survey, but rather one that is specifically developed to assess YOUR business and areas where specific metrics can be measured and evaluated. A survey is also provided to the owner(s)/officers that will measure your responses against those of your employees.
Two separate reports are created: One provides the summary of employee responses that you can share with your employees (comments omitted). A separate comprehensive Owner’s report (with comments) includes the employee responses, the owner responses, and provides an excellent representation of how you view your business operations compared against employee survey responses. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about how in tune you are with your employees and to generate meaningful measurable goals that resonate with your employees.
A physical bound report will be delivered to you with an opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with our team to summarize key takeaways that will provide you with insight as you plan for the following year’s goals.
